This story was dark and mysterious. Right off the bat it had you guessing what had happened to Gwen when she was ten years old.
It’s set in such a lovely place and the descriptions are so good you can practically smell the salty air and the culture is beautiful. The games in the story merge new, old, and fairy tales just like the love story happening.
The only thing that I didn’t like was that there wasn’t much description about the shark attack and death. Since the character in question was pretty important it seemed like his death should have been elaborated.
Other than that tidbit, this book was a great, dreamy read.

Good Points
