Roll of thunder, hear my cry takes place in 1933 in Mississippi. It is about the Logans family, they are very nice people all except for one thing they are black. Being black in Mississippi
in 1933 was a very bad thing because blacks were
treated very badly. The Logans are Cassie, Stacey, Chistopher - John, Little Man, Big Ma (Grandmother), David(The Father), Mary (The Mother),and Uncle Hammer. Mr.Logan brings Mr.Morrison to his home because when Mr.Morrison was working on the railroad he got in a fight with some white men. The white men got Mr.Morrison fired but the white men did not get fired, see what I mean Mississippi was just not a great place to live in.
