What Worked: This sturdy board book has JJ’s whole family playing a fun game of peekaboo. I especially liked at the end that it invites the child to play peekaboo. The lift the flaps feature is sure to be engaging to young readers. The lift the flaps feature is also a good way to engage the child in a vocabulary-building exercise because they could name the different objects in the home that JJ and his parents are hiding behind.
Final Verdict: This engaging lift the flaps book is sure to appeal to Cocomelon fans as JJ plays a favorite game of peekaboo. I like that it is interactive and has bright illustrations. I’m sure young readers will be excited to find out where the family is hiding and want to play their own game at home.
