Review Detail
4.4 8Overall, I thought this was a very captivating story was impressed by the author as this is the first book I have read of hers. The way the chapters went back and forth changing perspectives between Kate and Jarrod gave the story added interest because both characters feelings toward each other and magic are very particular. This eliminated any questions there might have been were it to be written from only one perspective. My only complaint is that the first part (of 3 total) didnt have enough consistent action to fully enthrall me. Parts two and three are what really fascinated me. As they traveled to medieval times and back again Jarrod learned to believe in himself, his powers, and most importantly Kate. She discovered what live was like without magic for a short period of time and how to express to Jarrod her feelings toward him. With an ending overflowing with sweet romance this book will not disappoint.
