Melvina Whitmoore is afraid of everything. It's one reason she moves, hoping to finally find somewhere safe to live. But then she here's voices and finds herself more terrified than ever. The floorboards shake and the walls rattle. Melvina thinks this is it, until a group of monsters come in talking about a house-warming party they want to throw for her. She learns that sometimes your fears aren't what they seem.

MELVINA WHITMOORE is a spooky children's story that teaches them to overcome their fears. Sometimes good things can come from moments where we're brave enough to face our fears. The illustrations are chilling to match the creepy theme and the illustrated place close attention to the details. I love how some pictures are vertical so it's a bit more interactive and gets children to turn the book this way and that.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged four and up who enjoy creepy stories and monsters. It's all about facing your fears and perfect for children who are scared of a lot of things.
