Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys
User reviews
This was a great book.
It's about a girl, Megan Meade, who goes to live with her parents friends and their seven sons. Megan finds herself in a major challenge. She has to prove to everyone in the house that she can get along with them. The ending isn't really what i thought it would be, but it was still a good book. I recommend you read this book.
Megan
Meade is tired of moving and when her parents announce they're going to move
again--to South
Korea-- who
could blame her for drawing the line. Megan is determined to stay in the States
for the rest of high school. Reluctantly, her parents agree... under one
condition. She'll go live with the McGowan and the McGowans 7 sons. Who knew the sons would turn
out to be smokin' hot?!
Not
Megan. But living with 7 gorgeous boys is not what it's cracked up to be and
seven boys attract a lot of drama. Jealous girlfriends, parties, and the Boston
Red Socks! Kate Brian has created a wonderfully written story telling a
teenager girl's crusade to finding how boys tick, surviving high school, and
trying not to get her heart broken in the process.
The book Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan is about a girl who moves in with a family friend when her parents are reloated, they are in the army, and this family has 7 sons! Megan expects that it will be bad but what she doesn't expect is that 2 of the sons are hot! This book is sooooooo funny and the guys are cute, what more can you ask for! Aweosome book, you should read it!
This book is amazingly witty and smart! With all of the McGowan boys being very intresting (Doug is my favorite!) and clever. The book is very well written and had me in stitches at some points ('What you want my kidney?') and it leaves a very evil cliffhanger at the end ('he was staring at her with those intense eyes. Staring right into her. Just like he had in thouse couple of moments when she had thought, for a split second, that he wanted to kiss her.') A sequel would be splendid, and would stop me from jumping up and down going Omigosh!!!!!!!!
Megan has never lived in the same place for too long. With her parents being in the military, they move regularly. But when her parents tell her they're moving to Korea, she refuses to go. Instead, her parents send her to live with her dad's old friends...and their seven sons. Last time she can remember seeing them was a long time ago...and it wasn't really making her all that excited to live with them. But, for the sake of finishing high school in the US, as well as playing soccer, she finally decides to go. When Megan arrives in Connecticut, she realizes that the boys have really grown up. Goodbye disgusting children and hello Abercrombie models!
Will this all work out? Or will she wish she had gone with her parents to Korea?
I really liked this book. I loved that it involved soccer. I thought that Megan was easy to relate to and the writing was pretty awesome. And I totally love the skirt on the cover...even though I never wear skirts! I definitely recommend it! (The book, not the skirt...thought th skirt is really cute!)
Although this was a good book, I still don't think I'm going to read the Private books...ewww.
All you girls out there imagine having to live with family friends who happen to have seven cute boys,NOW THAT'S A CHALLENGE! With parents in the military now being station overseas once more, their daughter Megan Meade only option to stay behind is to accept this challenge. She kicks butt on the soccer flied but can she kick it living with a bunch of boys who each have something to say about her moving in with them............ READ TO FIND OUT MORE
Really really sweet tale about a girl whose military parents give her an insane choice: move with them to another country, or stay with the McGowans and their seven boys. Light fluff that keeps you reading and makes you go AWWWWWW. All about finding the great guy that's been there all along and you didn't even know it.
Megan is used to moving from place to place -- it's typical for an army brat. But she drew the line at South Korea. She insists on staying in the States to finish her last two years of high school. So her parents made arrangements for Megan to live with their friends, the McGowans...and the McGowans' 7 sons.
Turns out, living with 7 boys might as well be a foreign country! The boys are messy. They are cliquey (who knew?). And worst of all, two of the oldest boys are H-O-T. (A problem considering they are supposed to be Megan's "brothers.") Megan is definitely in enemy territory. She needs to win over the boys' hearts without totally crushing her own.
And when Megan starts falling for one of them, sibling rivalry takes on a whole new meaning....
What is a girl to do?
This novel is hilarious. It made me laugh out loud. It was just a spunky little novel. Megan is a funny heroin with a big as a hot air ballon personality. What's not to lke about her? The McGowan boy's personalities are priceless. The drama that unfolds is just...funny.
I really recommend this book.
When Megan's army parents go to Korea for her junior year, Megan decides to stay with the family friend. The McGowans have SEVEN sons, ranging from the extremely hot and popular senior Evan to the littlest troublemaker and everything in between. The boys have never had a girl live with them before, and it sure disrupts their lives. Pranks, teasing, and freeze-outs occur, but Megan also discovers that boys can be nice and sensitive too--when they feel like it.
On the soccer team, Megan clashes with Hailey, Evan's girlfriend and best player on the team. In addition, slacker Doug seems to have it out for her, Megan wants to figure out how to get through to Miller, who has Asperger's Syndrome, and Finn, the artistic junior, is beginning to puzzle her.
Through all the teenage drama and sometimes unbelievable moments, Megan remains a heroine anyone can cheer for.
