This is a story about two young girls that are best friends but struggle with comparing themselves to each other. Then the girls both fall for the same guy and this threatens to break up their close friendship.
I am a big fan of Janette Rallison! When I am looking for a humorous, happy quick book to read, I always go for one of her books!! I was not disappointed with Life, Love and the Pursuit of Free Throws. It had me laughing, especially the whole mall scene and the way the both girls want to be orphans because they are too embarrassed to be seen with their families.
The characters are always genuine and lovable. They are not too perfect but are realistic to the age the author is portraying. There is always a lesson to be learned in her books and this book is great to remind young girls that boys will come and go, so never let a boy come between you and your best friend.
This is a great book for young girls to read, probably from the age of 11 or up or even earlier. There are no kissing or inappropriate scenes. Very well written!

This story is told from the piont of view of two best friends named Cami and Josie who both play on their school basket team. The girls had a wonderful relationship until they both got what the other wanted. Josie wanted the guy, but instead Cami got him. Cami had always dreamed of meeting a famous basketball player, but instead Josie will probably get to instead because she will probably become MVP and only MVP gets to. All this ends up tearing the girls apart and making their team not much of a team. But will the girls come together in a bad situation. Ireally liked this book for it's hillarity. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes a funny book for girls.
