Inspires Reader’s Curiosity

Dance is a lively exploration of culturally significant dances from around the world. Uncle Ian Aurora takes center stage as an enthusiastic traveler who invites us to sample the many types of dances around the world. Dance is a particularly hard concept to capture on a still page. The illustrator does a fantastic job capturing the liveliness of each dance with only one page to showcase each dance. The back matter provides real photos and more information about each dance featured. This book does a nice job of inspiring a reader’s curiosity to go look up videos of the dances to learn more. Overall, it provides just a taste of many cultures’ unique dances to inspire curiosity and demonstrate that there are so many beyond what you may be aware of already.
