Review Detail

In My Skin is a beautiful poem celebrating all the wonderful things our bodies and minds can experience. Such as how we can all feel hope and love, we can move, rest, think, and so much more all in the skin we are in. It conveys a powerful message that we are all enough just the way we are. I love the earthy tones used in the illustrations. There is diversity in the children represented, yet they are all able to have the same experiences and emotions providing a sense of joy and unity throughout the book. Overall, this is a gentle read filled with motion and a sense of embracing joy just the way we are which makes for a lovely read.
