It's good so far I'm only on page 84.I like this story because it is very imformative. It does talk about a girl doing drugs but it does not say "go ahead she did it,you can do it". It imforms you because it tells about an actual person doing drugs and how her life got twisted and that you certainly dont want to be like her.

This book is quite literally a life changing book, it gives you the inside look at a girl whose befriended addiction.
Though this book is far from acceptable for all ages, I think its important that you read it in your lifetime.
It'll make you think twice befroe you go off and do something stupid.
Read about our (no name) friend's adventure to a clean life.

I'm actually writing this in response to the review given by L. Eustace.

I think they skimmed over a good portion of the book. Alice was never "quite popular", in fact she was an outcast. She made some friends with a FEW people like herself over time. The first party she went to consisted of people who weren't really her friends, and the people she became close with later in the book were loners like herself.

Also, to call a young woman's problems trite is ridiculous. Sometimes "simplicity" as you call it is all it takes to bring forth an important message.

I found the book fascinating, especially during the long detailed descriptions of her trips. I couldn't put the book down when she was at her lowest and writing a bunch of stuff that didn't make sense...I so wanted to know what was going on, and I couldn't make much out of it until it was explained later when she went back home.

I think it is an important message, a book that is needed to be addressed in the education of young people.

This book was great! You have to read it in the mindset of a 15 year old. I'm close to getting my degree to teach English, and we are now learning about all of the controversial books, when this book came up. I decided to read it, and I hope to be able to present this to a classroom.

I have never tried any type of drug, and this gave me an idea of what it might be like to experience that. I can't imagine ever going through the things this girl went through. Whether this diary is real or not, I believe it's a good book to turn curious teens off of drugs. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in reading it!

It was very good book. It caught my attention because of the way it told how teenagers are faced with the pressure of using drugs. In my point of view, I think that this book should be read by all teenagers so they can get a good hard dose of reality.

Alice is girl who started taking drugs when she was 15 years old. She was at a party and someone put LSD in her drink. Ever since that day her life changed. She became adicted to it and it became an addiction. Alice was my favorite character, mostly because she was the only main character. I think everyone who is above the age of 10 would enjoy this book because it is about a temptation that older kids have to face...drugs. Reading this book has given me an understanding about what drugs can do to you, and I know I will never take them.

After someone spikes her drink, this soon-to-be drug addict drinks it without noticing until it’s too late. Just one drink, and her life was changed forever.

Low-self esteem is only one among many factors that made this teenager enter into the world of drugs and danger. Suffering through addiction, the drug-addict runs from home, living in a dangerous world. Brutal words and actions hurt this teen, and she finally returns home after a torturous, hard time, hoping to quit drugs and live a more normal life. But the rest of her life will be like a roller-coaster ride. How will this story end? Drug-free? Or tragic? Read to find out!

It’s sad to see people getting so addicted to drugs, and ruining their life. This was based on a true story that showed the devastating effects of drugs. Hopefully, Go Ask Alice will inspire more kids and people to stay away from drugs.

The book Go Ask Alice is about a teenage girl that drinks. She was invited to a party with one of her friends from her old school. When she was at the party they were playing a game and the soda she was drinking had alcohol in it. What she did not notice was that she was getting drunk at the time and past out that was only her first time drinking and not her last. This is areally good book for kids to read so that they learn how brinking is bad.

Wow! This book was deffinatly eye opening. It's such a heartbreaker and a journey. You go through Alice's life. You become her friend and you watch her fall, fall hard. It's really eye opening and deffinatly a book for everyone. It taught me alot about the true dangers of drugs and especially the struggle to stay clean. The terrifying part of the book was knowing this really happens. It's scarey.
