The highly anticipated sequel to the #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling book!

Secrets have a way of getting out, especially when a diary is involved.

Whatever you do, don’t ask Greg Heffley how he spent his summer vacation, because he definitely doesn’t want to talk about it.

As Greg enters the new school year, he’s eager to put the past three months behind him . . . and one event in particular.

Unfortunately for Greg, his older brother, Rodrick, knows all about the incident Greg wants to keep under wraps. But secrets have a way of getting out . . . especially when a diary is involved.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules chronicles Greg’s attempts to navigate the hazards of middle school, impress the girls, steer clear of the school talent show, and most important, keep his secret safe.

Greg Heffleys middle school and family woes continue in this sequel to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The combination of prose and drawings tells the humorous story of how Gregs brother, Rodrick, seems to always get the better of him, how Gregs good intentions always turn against him and how his less than good intentions are worse than intended. Back are Gregs oblivious mother and his best friend, the gullible Rowley.

One chapter discusses Gregs attempt to dog sit his neighbors dog while they are on vacation. The dog would never do his stuff while he was being walked, but then proceeded to poop in the house. After a few days of cleaning up the mess, Greg decides to let it pile up and clean it the day the neighbors are due home. But&.they came home a day early. You get the picture, and its not pretty.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the sequel, Rodrick Rules, are two of the funniest books Ive read recently. The stories are funny and the drawings just add to the humor. Readers will relate to Greg and feel sorry for him at the same time. Hes just a guy waiting for trouble to happen. We all know someone just like him. For a fun time, read both books.

Rodrick is mean, he's the obvious older sibling.
In this story, he gets redemption because he shows his good side towards the end. It's always really funny.

I saw the movie, and it is seriously a guilty pleasure of mine. Both of the movies, actually. I love Rodrick! :)

BRANDON GUYS BOOK REVIEW
I read the book Dairy of a wimpy kid I thought was a good book. I enjoyed reading it because of its playful hummer. Although I thought the plot of the book was weak and hard to fallow. The book was a very entertaining. I would enjoy reading the rest of the series. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading funny school stories. I would not recommended too anyone who likes serious stories. One a scale from 1 to 10 I would say it would be a 8

The main character  Greg heffley a middle school kid who tries to fit in with everyone else. In this installment for the series  it talks about Greg and his brother Rodrick. It was hilarious  like the first. Greg isn't like any other  boy, he's  a wimpy kid  and cannot play sports and his family sometimes give him a hard time/embarass him . It talks a bit about his summer vacation and Rodrick has discovered a  secret about Greg .If Greg told on Rodrick it will be told to everyone. Rodrick found out that his brother has a diary and called him you guessed it  wimpy and Greg as usual can't do anything about it. This book is really addictive and readers will laugh at the drawing and   the jokes . Yet another great laugh! It was as good as the first one.Overall it was an excellent read
