I finally decided to pick up a copy of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” to see what all the fuss is about. After reading Jeff Kinney’s first book in the series, I discovered it's because it's just so relatable. Kinney expertly points out the humor in the everyday life of a middle schooler. I loved it!
Good Points
Relatable experiences for young readers.
A protagonist that's more endearingly awkward than wimpy.

I'll be famous one day, but for now I'm stuck in high school with a bunch of morons. Being a kid can really stink. And no one knows this better than Greg Heffley, who finds himself thrust into high school, where undersized weaklings share the hallways with kids who are taller, meaner, and already shaving. Luckily Greg has his best friend and sidekick, Rowley. But when Rowley's popularity starts to rise, it kicks off a chain of events that will test their friendship in a hilarious fashion.

this book is so funny, in some parts I actually laughed out loud. It is a nice, easy read with tons of comedy. Girls and boys should so read it!!!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid   by Gerald Scott

You should read Diary of a Wimpy Kid (the whole series) by Jeff Kinney.  It is one of the best books ever!!  Its really awesome!  Its so awesome; youll have to read it twice, or MORE.

I would recommend it because it is for boys and girls.  Its about a teenage boy who is in middle school trying to get out alive.  He has only one friend named Rowley who does not act his age.  Instead he acts ten years younger

The main character is Greg Hefley.  He is a small wanttobefamous kid.  He constantly tries to rank himself higher than seventy on the popularity chain, but just keeps going down.

If you want a fun filled adventure through this middle school and see what happens you need to read this book.  Just try it.

Diary of the Wimpy Kid breaks the rules that writers are taught about plotting. The book basically has little plot, yet I found myself wanting to turn the pages. I repeatedly laughed out loud at the antics of Gregory, a not so nice tween, and his only friend. The drawings are darling, but beware of the "cheese touch." The voice perfectly captures the tone of a middle schooler.

Diary of a wimpy kid

First of all this is not a diary! This book really isnt about princesses its actually a journal! So dont except this book to be all dear diary! The second thing is that hes not the type of guy whos a girls dream; hes the type of guy, whos in the background. The only thing he could impress a girl is by his video game skills and smarts. But no girls interested in that.

You might think this is a boring book by the title.

But its not, as you read this New York

Best Time-seller youll laugh your guts out.

WARNING: this book may contain too much comedy!!!

Jeff Kinney has also included many hilarious drawings as well.

This book is about a mixture of comedy and when friends dont workout.

You will see an inside life of a wimpy kid, and his point, of views and problems at school.

I have read this book, and I think it rocks! It starts out with him
(the wimpy kid) saying that it is a journal and that he told his mom
not to get one with the word diary mentioned anywhere in it. The book
is about a boy named Greg Hefley. He loves video games and whenever he
is grounded from them he sneaks a game to his friend Rowleys house and
plays it there. I guess that you could call this guy a& how should I
put it& well he is very& moronic. Of course, I cant really say that
because he doesnt do much that would make him a moron and he usually
is the one, in his journal of course, calling other people morons. He
has a brother named Rodrick. Rodrick has a band called Loded Diper.
Of course, that isnt how you spell it, and if you told Rodrick that,
it would be news to him! Later in the book, he gets a job as a school
paper cartoon writer. He and Rowley were going to use a comic called
Zoo-Wee Mama!. They gave up on that one and used a comic called
Creightin the Cretin. This book is very funny, and I hope that
everyone else who reads it loves it as much as I did!
