Diary of the Wimpy Kid breaks the rules that writers are taught about plotting. The book basically has little plot, yet I found myself wanting to turn the pages. I repeatedly laughed out loud at the antics of Gregory, a not so nice tween, and his only friend. The drawings are darling, but beware of the "cheese touch." The voice perfectly captures the tone of a middle schooler.
