This is basically a romance. A werewolf girl named Vivian falls in love with a human boy. The life of a clan of werewolves and regular humans is very different and Vivian tries to balance both lives. This is further complicated by murders.
When Vivian finally reveals to the human her secret he is frightened and rejects her. Vivian finally learns that true love is one where you are accepted and can be yourself. It is a sweet story worth reading.
