I grew up on Grimm’s fairy tales, and my love of magic, dragons, and princesses who dare impossible things runs deep. I love all kinds of fairy-tales. Fairy-tale retellings, modern fairy-tales, classic fairy-tales and etc, so Shadow Queen seems like something I would like. Plus there is a fugitive princess with kick-ass magic powers, who is out to assassinate an evil queen and take back her throne, who would not love this book.

The cover is [b]BEAUTIFUL[/b]. I love the darkness throughout it, and I love the black apple! I am fascinated by the creative way the cover was made. The black apple and the carvings on it is amazing! Not to mention the gorgeous drip of black! I love that it’s not too simple, but not all over the place, either! Simple, neat, and absolutely intriguing! As for the synopsis, I love how it was inspired by Snow White, but there are some major differences, and that is why I think I’m going to like the Shadow Queen much more than Snow White!! The cover, and synopsis are what led me to this! I would love to read THE SHADOW QUEEN sometime!
