I thought that this was one of the best books I have ever read. I am the type of person who only reads when it is for a grade at school you see I am a thirteen year old female that is going into the 8th grade and I hated reading before this book. Now i can't put down hr new book called On the Brightside, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God and it is just as hilarious as the first book. I strongly suggest this book to anybody looking for a strange yet funny way to enjoy a book.

Actually, I read Angus before I read Bridget Jones' Diary or saw the movie, so when I first read it, I thought it was incredibly original and funny. Now I just think it's funny, but there are many ideas in the book that are almost straight out of Helen Fielding's novel. Georgia concentrates on snogging (or kissing, as we Yanks call it), while Bridget is more focused on sex.

Still, I have had a number of students (mainly girls) who have really enjoyed it, and I like the fact that it is so extremely British. It really gives kids an idea about what teen culture is like in a country besides their own.

This hilarious diary follows a 14-year-old girl named Georgia through her everyday life in England. She has the normal problems of a teenager, such as having the painters in, boys, and her family.

However, it is Georgias abnormal problems that make this book so funny. Her cat, Angus, has gone mad. She and her best friend go boy stalking. Also, some crazy bullies at Georgias school convince her to participate in several strange activities, such as levitation. The best thing about this book is that there is a glossary at the end to fill you in on the British slang used in the book, such as bloke, prat, O-levels, and many more.

I would recommend Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging to all girls. Georgias life is easy to relate to, and her crazy situations put your embarrassing moments into perspective. You will laugh as Georgia goes to a party dressed as a cocktail olive and cry while she struggles through the trails and tribulations of being a teenage girl. This diary is great for any mood you are in. If you havent read Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison yet, its time for you to go to the bookstore!

This is a very funny book. Very, very funny. I bought it in a bookstore in a British airport, knowing I had a four hour layover in Houston, Texas. I read it on the plane, as I couldn't help myself. Yes, I had to buy another paperback once I got to Houston.

Anyway, I totally identify with Georgia, I mean, who doesn't? And I laughed very loudly everytime she mentioned her cat, Angus, or her sister, Libby, so that I got several strange looks from the other people on the plane. This book's a definite must read.
