I though the stroy of the two best friends dealing whith cancer was very touching and YES I cried too. This book really hit home for me because of lost family members due to cancer. This book really put cancer into perspective and makes you feel grateful for what you have today. Everybody has dealt with cancer in some form or another so everyone can connect with the story. Overall I thought it was a wonderful book and I recommend it to everyone.

This book was amazing. I cried like a baby towards the end. It was very inspiring as well though. Julie and Sam are best friends, inseperable, they both are dancers as well. Then Julie is diagnosed with cancer. That's when everything changes. She finds out she's terminal nothing can save her. She has to leave her dancing just when they were about to do this great performance, she has to leave school, and the worst part she needs to leave her bestfriend Sam and her family forever. Everything she goes through is in the book, hair loss, being always tired, losing alot of weight, all because of the chemo, but throughout the whole book Sam's always there for her. It's a beautiful book, anyone who has had someone in their life have cancer, or someone that has a friendship that's so strong , should defenetly read it. I loved it.

I read a lot of books, and this one really got to me. I thought about this book for a long time after I read it. This is the first book I actually sobbed! I think it was very well written and made you stop and think. Definently read The Farther You Run as well.

Sam and Jules have been best buds for quite a long time. They dance together, go to school together, and grow up together. But, suddenly, something is wrong with Jules. She’s in deep and horrific pain when she dances. She feels it even when she just moves. She won’t tell hardly anyone for awhile, but finally seeks help. Jules and her mother see dozens of professionals, but no one has an answer. That is, until Dr. Conner. Jules is diagnosed with diffuse histiocytic lymphoma. She begins chemotherapy immediately. Jules is nervous at first, but eases into the situation. Soon, she loses interest in dancing, life, and even Sam. For months, Sam is ignored, leaving her to a new boyfriend, friends, and dreading Jules. What would she say or do? Finally, Jules stops her chemotherapy because it pains her and others. The treatment doesn’t help her. Sam is hurting because Jules will certainly die. They haven’t been close for so long. What will she do? Dance. That is the answer I infer.
This novel is touching and sad. I almost cried from the chemotherapy. As Jules was administered upon, I felt the pain. It was horrible. I knew how she felt, for nearly two hours. This story is excellent. I recommend it for teenage girls, one, because of sadness. Two, I would give it a PG-13 rating for language and scary content.
