For all you fashionista's out there, this is a book for you. It starts of with readers meeting Imogene, the funny fashion obsessed main character, who has quite a lot of money for someone who is "poor". Typical attitude for a girl surrounded by nose job, over-tanned, skinny, rich girls.

This book was definitely a fluff book, complete with the many "OMG's" and "I can't believe she wore Prada with Gucci!" But it's cute, and though it can be a bit...much, for people who read more intellectual books, the plot was fast moving and fun.

I sincerely enjoyed Imogene's character and did read the second book in the trilogy, which was just as entertaining as the first book. One thing I liked about the book was that the pages weren't the usually paper, the paper was thicker, whiter, and glossier. Plus there were little added designs and pictures at least once a chapter, and although that sounds a bit juvenile it wasn't, actually.

So although this book might not (never) win the Newbery award or what not, it is a fun read so check it out

This is such an wonderful book!! It is jam packed with excitement, style, fun, troubles, and more! A perfect read for a teen/tween girl.

Read as the main character finds herself landing a amazing dream job that definitely involves fashion. Follow her story as she deals with overcoming the troubles of her other workers, and more!

I hope you enjoy! I know that I did!

I had heard great things about this book, like how it incorporates teenage language and a love for fashion into an awesome story.

but honestly? it wasn't nearly as exciting as I had hoped.

because the story was so..."Ohmigodlikesototally!" the speak of the characters left me feeling like i was watching an episode of the Hills, which i can't stand. if you don't like shows and books like this or hate valley girls, then don't read this book.

I have to admit I bought this book because of the cute cover and pictures inside. I know you shouldn't judge a book that way, but who could resist the cute little illustrations? The story does not disappoint either.

The book follows the new trend of, if you can't be the rich Gossip Girl type, then you somehow fit in as the scholarship, fly under the radar best friend of a rich girl.

Imogene is that shcoalrship girl and she wants desperately to land an internship working at a fashion forecasting agency. She getsthe position and learns the girl she is to report to is the one she was rude to and caused a problem with the night before. Add to that the girl is kissing the guy she was making otuwith last night and who still has her cell phone. You just know things won't go well when the evil senior intern tells her that if she wants to talk to the head person she must got thru her 1st.

You can see where the plot is going before it gets there, but it is a fun read & like I said, the illustrations really do make the book.

Its rare to saythis about a YA book, but the best part of this book was the illustrations on the pages. It added something to the story! However, the story was also good as Imogene tells you she's been using her McDonald's money and creativity to keep up with the richer kids in her class.

I liked the background of Imogene's mom marrying for love, not money & how that impact Imogene. I also loved how they transformed the fast food menu to be more chic thanks to a professional chef healping.

This book was entertaining and fun and I hope that it becomes a series.

This was a good book, but it's designer references are sometimes cunfusing to "normal" people, like me.

I still thought it was good. Imogene is interestsing, and her voice is string and clear (not litteraly). I might advise someone but they would have to like this type of teen-chick-lit. Still an okay book.

"Imogene is obsessed with fashion. Combine that with her talent for trouble (aka maxing out her "emergencies only" AmEx) and suddenly she's not going to chere Paris with her best friend for the summer. No, she must do the unthinkable for a stylish Greenwhich girl such as herself - get a job.

Resourceful as always, Imogene works her connections and lands a dream internship at a fashion forcasting agency in NY. Now she's lunching at Serendipity, first on the line at Barney's warehouse sale, and skoshing seats at fashion week.

But when Imogene's dream is threatened by a cute Italian boy and one very evil intern, she questions what she really wants. And she learns that even in fashion, being true to yourself and following your dreams can go hand in hand."

This book was pretty good, but not my favorite. Imogene was kind of ridiculous and I can't really see any of the events happening in "real life". But if you're looking for a cute, light read... this could be the book for you. I especially liked the little illustrations on the sides of pages... Be warned, this book is very predictable!
