About the Author
DAVID HOFMEYR was born in South Africa and lives in London and Paris. In 2012 he was a finalist in the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices competition and in 2013 he graduated with distinction from Bath Spa University with an MA in Writing for Young People. He works as a Planner for Ogilvy & Mather in the UK. Stone Rider is David Hofmeyr’s first novel. The companion novel Blood Rider will follow in 2016.

I think the cover is lame, but the comparisons to similar works in the descriptions point to the literary ambition of the author and successfully draws my interest!
The cover is bold, and certainly catches my eye. I think the synopsis is intriguing, because I am always fascinated by what lengths humans will go to in order to reach their goals, and this book seems to examine this concept.
