This book overall was a good book. It took a while to get into it - I didn't get into it until around pages 50-75. After I hit those pages the plot picked up very fast and it was a quick read after that.
I felt like Vlad didn't change from his experience at the end of the book - which was really good. However, I didn't see any change from Nellie or Mr. Otis, the other main characters, even though they went through pretty much the same experience. It would've been nice to see a little more change from them.
I still plan on reading the next book in the series, Ninth Grade Slays, which has already been released. This book was good for a first time author.
