A little cockatiel snuggles with its parent as the baby is reassured about the love they share. Not only is the baby showered with love, but its also taught that no matter where it flies off to, the parent will always be with them in their heart. So they should spread their wings and fly because a feeling like love follows them no matter where their path leads them.

SPREAD YOUR WINGS is a celebration of a parent's love for their child and how it sticks with them always. The illustrations are a simple, chalky style with vibrant gold foil accents. The cockatiel is the perfect main character for a child's book because it is the most common bird-friend that children own. I also love the rhyming scheme that follows every other line. It makes the reading more lyrical and my daughter bobbed her head a couple of times which was a cute response.

Overall: SPREAD YOUR WINGS is an adorable children's book for parents to share with their children. I would recommend it as a holiday gift for a child who loves to be read to or for parents who want to read more with their children. This would make a great bedtime story that's followed by some cuddles or a goodnight hug/kiss.
