Review Detail

The very first thing you will notice about Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi is the incredible writing style. It is so unique and passionate, filled with metaphors, crossed out words, and repetition. I absolutely loved it! It is by far one of the best books I have read in a very long time.
The author does an amazing job of building her characters to where I feel like I really know them. I tore through this book in one sitting.
At the romancey parts, her writing style really electrified the moment and made it feel like it was happening to me. The pace is perfect. Mafi does a good job of showing Juliette's (the main character) mindset and what she's thinking. And when Juliette is being crazy (for lack of a better term) I cant really see it in her writing. It's just awesome.
