What I Liked: I have read other books about how seeds grow into plants and usually they are too complex to help a young child understand. This board book does a great job of focusing on one seed named Pip and how it is transferred by animal, wind, and water until it is planted and begins to grow. The comparison of a young girl growing up next to it helps children to see that the seed takes a long time to grow into an apple tree.
Final Verdict: This book publishes at the perfect time to read it with your little one and then go and plant seeds together as an extension activity! The illustrations are bright and interesting to keep a Preschooler’s attention. I can’t wait to read this with my students and am already buying the supplies for a gardening activity.
