This sequel may be even better than the first. She lost nothing in her technique in her writing as some do. I liked that she gave reviewed a little during the first few chapters because it's been a while since I read "A Great and Terrible Beauty." I can barely wait for the next book in this trilogy. There is certainly some twists I never expected. I hated to put it down and finally go to bed.

It is now Christmastime and Gemma goes home for two weeks. She has destroyed the runes in the realms, and she thought she has bound the magic. She soon finds out that she has released the magic so that others can get the magic. Now she must find out who Circe is and how to destroy her and bind the magic.

THis book is unbelievably good. I swear it is just a book you cant put down. You just want to read and read untill your eyes are drooping. This stunning portrayal of friendship and romance combined with chilling fantasy and historical gothic victorian flare that makes it seem real. After reading this lovely novel it was all I could think about!!! I would lay awake at night thinking about the characters with their faults and strengths. There was no perfect person in the book, no cinderella who annoys with their perfect nature. Even the heroine in this story has chilling faults and problems which are relateable. It was an unbelievable book that will be the way to measure all other books that I read from this point on. It is a book that everyone must read before they die to appreciate young literature!!!! It is an undescribable pleasure to leaf through tha pages of this chilling book.

Rebel Angels-
this awesome book is the continuation to the equally awesome book A Great and Terrible Beauty. Gemma finally decides to go back to the realms with Felicity and Ann after the death of their dear friend Pippa. i was so happy to find that Pippa is there and their circle of friends are reunited, yet she is not the same... also in this book gemma must face her dead mothers former best friend,Circe and find the temple in the realms so she can bind the magic that she let loose when she broke stuff that bouned it together. gemma cant trust anyone.
this book has the best ending! it is unexpected and leaves you begging for more!

The sequel to "A Great and Terrible Beauty" is finally here and it is awesome!!! Holiday time at Spence Academy is not as jolly as it should be; the arrival of a mysterious new teacher has Gemma worried. After a bit of research Gemma, Anne, and Felicity come to the conclusion that she is Circe. Also three girls dressd in white haunt Gemma's visions, so too does the appearance of Pippa in the Realms where everyone must either cross over or become corrupt. Gemma meets many people who tell her to find the temple and bind the magic but she veers of her course, literally and finds out that even the strongest people face great adversities.

I was completely anxious to get my hands on this book after reading A Great and Terrible Beauty, the first in the trilogy. As before, Libba Bray creates a beautiful world with The Realms. More and more mysteries arise at Spence Academy, and Gemma must find a way to figure things out. Not everything is as it seems, and the power of the Realms is something everybody wants but only Gemma can decide who to give it to.

Rebel Angels is the thrilling and engaging sequel to A Great and Terrible Beauty, the first in the Gemma Doyle trilogy.

Libba Bray is delivers with this fast paced, thrilling sequel. I did not want to put it down, it was so engrossing. The characters are as vivid and real as before. Youll find your heart racing while you frantically try to figure everything out along with Gemma, Felicity, and Ann.

Rebel Angels is a truly great sequel that will leave the reader rushing to the bookstore to pick up the third and final installment of the trilogy, The Sweet Far Thing.

Caution: Reading at one oclock in the morning may cause you to hear strange noises and feel that perhaps Circe is after you as well!

THIS WAS A GREAT BOOK! The whole concept is amazing; a secret society and unlikly friends. I couldnt belive the ending. I never would have guessed that Circe turned out to be the very person Jemma trusted so much, Ms. Moore. She introduced them to the Order! Then I wish more would have happened with Gemma and Karitik. Great storyline.
