The book is about a cow, a sheep, a pig, a rooster, and a billy-goat who wanted to be a famous rock band. They need to come up with a hit song before they leave in a few days, but first, they need to get to the first stop on their tour, so they fix up the old brown, broken down van. The goat fixes it and the pig paints it so it has flames and the bands initials (PF).

Theyre having trouble getting to the place (the first concert venue, that is) and then the cow spots it out. So then they start to practice backstage. The club manager says its theyre turn to go on stage. And then they sing about their van. And then&and then&then they needed to get Pig to come with them instead of hanging out with the fans. They play another song about the van with the windshield wipers because it was raining on the way to that concert. And then they got a flat tire, so the next concert is about their tire popping. And Pig is hanging out with the fans again. Then their car breaks down, so the next concert is about the van breaking down. The sheep sings the loudest note. And then the crowd starts to cheer.

Then farmer is coming home on the airplane and the crew has to get themselves to the farm before the airplane lands and he comes up. And the band gets there right before the farmer does&just in time. And thats it.

I think kids of all ages would like this book. Toddlers because it has two nursery rhymes in it. The Old MacDonald part and the Wheels on the Bus part. Older kids because it has rock and roll and very cool pictures. Grown ups too, because it has a good sense of humor and really good details. It actually looks like a real band about to perform and performing. What theyre doing in the pictures while theyre playing is actually what real rock bands do. Its all animals that are listening to them. At each place (concert venue), the audience has the animals that would live in that place (flamingos in Miami, etc). It shows all the crowds loving the band. And thats it.

I especially like the goat when he is rocking out as the sheep is playing the loudest note. Hes trying to still be visible in the crowd when the pig is flying. And hes always wearing his sunglasses. Hes trying to look cool in front of a crowd. And I like that the chicken is wearing a bow tie. The pig wears a spiky wrist band, and the sheep wears a stars band. The goat is wearing a chain, and the cow is wearing his bell. And thats it.
