Mr. Bear's World of Food is an interactive board book that introduces different foods to children in a fun way!

The font is large, perfect for those learning how to read. Vibrant and realistic illustrations, paired with a little bit of silliness, make this such a wonderful read.

I love that the author strayed away from more common, kid approved foods to more obscure foods, as well as classifying them in unique categories - Fresh, Smoky, Sour, Bitter, etc. Not only is the opportunity presented to teach your child new foods, but your child will pick up new complex words such as pungent and umami.

My children (and lets be honest, myself) love Lift-the-Flap type books; while I wish there had been more in this story, what we did have were cute and well thought-out. My five-year-old got a huge kick out of lifting the flaps and learning about the different senses.
While not necessarily needed, the baguette-shaped bookmark is probably my favorite part of the whole book.

The Mr. Bear books would make a wonderful collection to any library!
