Whew! Her latest heart-thumping adventure left me winded.

"I crack my knuckles and shake out my fingers. To quote The Grey, 'Once more into the fray.'" Sidonie Rubin . . . ahem . . . Sid, is at it again! This time, she's plunging into another game. One not of the live action variety, but...

Hilarious and refershing

I read a TON of fae fiction and A WICKED TRILOGY by Jennifer L. Armentrout is so hilarious and refershing. I absolutely adore Ivy's inner dialogue and Tink's antics. And Ren? *swoons* Definitely a fun read!

Beautifully fun Japanese-like Fantasy

"The moon cannot enslave the sun, nor make the day its mistress." I absolutely loved this dark yet playful romp through an ancient Japanese-like fantasy culture. As an anime fan and gamer, I found this YA tale refreshing and somewhat original when compared to the other...

GORGEOUS book!

This is one of the most beautifully written books I've read in a long, long while. I found myself re-reading sentences and paragraphs for the sheer pleasure of their worded beauty. The fair ones were disturbing monsters of life and death, a perfect representation of the circle of life...

Haunting tale that kept me glued to the page!

INFECTED began with a viral pandemic which turns the human body and mind into a host. Although I enjoyed the story from the beginning, it wasn’t until around the 25% mark that I became engaged when events turned from activities of daily living to surviving a paranormal apocalypse. ...

A fantasy spin on a Roman empire world

Looooooved this book. I devoured each page. Savored every word. The writing is gorgeous. The characters are flawed but sympathetic. I really enjoyed the fantasy spin on a Roman empire world. It. Was. Intense. This is probably one of my favorite mainstream YA fantasy reads in...

Unique, dark, and gripping!

LOVE. THIS. BOOK. Looooooooove! I'm not sure I'll make it to September when the second book is released. I could write more of all the things I loved about it, but really, it was everything. One of my favorite reads in 2017....

I found this book irresistible

What a ride! As a Poe enthusiast, I found this book irresistible. I struggled to put it down. And, when I did, I found myself thinking about it. LOVED the excerpts from various Poe writings and how they melded into the story arc. LOVED the dark, twisted romance. LOVED the...

Love this series!

I'm in love with this book series. LOVE. The world building, the story, the characters... *book nerd heart sigh* Highly recommended epic fantasy read. Or, as Leigh Bardugo calls it: Tsarpunk. Ok. Time to go crush over book three, Ruin and Rising. ...

I am now officially in a state of end-of-book-series mourning.

I am now officially in a state of end-of-book-series mourning. I shall don my book nerd black armband and grapple for meaning in the world once more. *gazes wistfully out window* Beautiful. The ending ripped me open and filled me simultaneously. I cried. I won't lie. Then,...

Everything was good but the ending...

**spoiler alert** This. Was. AMAZING! I love psychological thrillers and gothic tales. However, the ending left me ... uncomfortable. The more I think about Tella the more pissed off I become. I feel like the story's message about abuse was invalidated by the way Tella got...

THIS story owns my heart. OWNS it.

I'm struggling for words to adequately describe my experience while reading this phenomenal story. All I know is that a piece of my heart now belongs to “The sky and the sand and the sea and Corr” and I don't want it back.

An unforgettable road trip of horror and hope

In a world of constant noise and busy lives, it is horrifying to think it could be silenced by a mysterious virus. Radios, TV's, cell phones and social media still exist, but they are on repeat, and it appears no one has survived to answer calls or Facebook updates. Until...

Disturbing, mysterious, and darkly romantic

WOW. Just wow. I'll be honest ... I dove into this book after skimming the synopsis. But I selected it because I loved the cover and the title. The premise was an amazing bonus. The writing was lush and descriptive without being overhanded....

READ. THIS. BOOK. Vividly written and a fantastic character!

“And you want to know something else, something truly freaky? It is absolutely amazing how much stuff can flit through your brain while you are plunging to your death.” Thus begins this rambling, geeky tale of undeveloped teenage brains. A corseted murder. Story yarns riddling from the...
