The illustrations were bright and engaging and a lot silly as a young dog gets a dose of the holiday season. The dog is so excited for winter and then, ‘boom!’ Christmas decorations are everywhere and he is bewildered by all of it. The dog’s reactions make a lot of sense and maybe that is what our pets are thinking when decorations get pulled out of storage. This book is great for young children and the words are the perfect amount to make a quick and expressive read for young audiences.
