This wonderful adventure story by Cornelia Funke is a must-read for anyone. I highly recommend it.

Meggie and her father Mo live a slightly nomadic life, moving constantly for Mo's profession, bookbinding (Meggie calls him a "book doctor"). But Meggie's life gets flipped upside down when an unexpected visitor shows up on their doorstep in the middle of the night. The spell-binding adventure they embark on is certainly one to remember.

Absolutely do NOT pass this classic up!

Inkheart is the first book in a trilogy about a girl named Meggie. She and her father move around alot because her father binds books. One day, her father is captured by an evil man named Capricorn, and she learns the truth that has been hidden from her since she was younger: her father can read characters out of books. What's worse, her mother was put into the book Inkeart in place of other characters! Meggie has to find the courage to change what will happen to her friends and family. An awesome book!

This book is amazing in every aspect: adventure, magic, and just everything. This book actually inspired me to write one of my own after having a three month writer's block. So, I highly reccomend it. It amazes me that someone can write a book so well about a book.

Have you ever felt as if a book is so good that you it feels real? Well, that's Meg's life, especially when she discovers the secret that her father, Mo has been hiding from her for years. He can read characters out of books. Characters like Basta and Capricorn whose main pastime isn't reading-it's killing. Mo's tried to bury his past. But now it's all coming back....

The book's intricate plot is superb and captivating. It will hold many a reader's interest. Meg is likeable and the supporting characters are believeable.

This book is great!
It is very well writen, sometimes I felt if I read the book aloud I could bring Meggie, Mo, and Dustfinger out of the book. I felt like I was a bystander watching the story pass in front of my eyes like a movie.
I could not put this book down once I started it, I kept on reading it until I was finished! When I need to read something I just pick up this book and read it! The binding is worn down I think I have a job for Mo!
You have to read it!

INKHEART,BY CORNELIA FUNKE.

This is a book of gripping and breathtaking, unique possibilities to the world. It is a book suffering of intense love, betrayal, trust and evil. This book is fantasy. Once you step out of our world and into Cornelia Funke's mind you are trapped and bound by the enchanting magnificence of it's outstanding beauty, and once you begin you are captured til the last page is sweetly drunk and finished. The power to read, write and imagine is clearly and creativly sampled here. The art that this book is discovered with is uncoweringly brilliant and once read and graved in memory, it is another piece to last forever.

Maggie discovers something new about her family, her father. He has a great ability that is also a curse. He can read things, and people, out of stories! That leaves the pages open for many troublesome adventures!

Cornila Funke has written several books over the past years and all of them are fantastic. This one takes the page though! Inkheart drew me in. It is fantastic how Funke combines the mythical world of the book with reality. Bad guys never change and heros will always battle with the past but in this case they are mixed well with each other and create an awesome story that even continues in a second book! I am glad someone came up with this power for I would never have thought of reading someone out of a novel. If you could do it, who would you read aloud?
