As the day begins, a girl dashes out to Indigo Beach where she imagines another girl enjoying the day just like her. A faraway girl who likes the same things as her. They're very similar and even look up at the same sky. Everywhere she goes is magical in her mind and she envisions a girl doing just the same. She thinks of this from the beginning of the day to the end, which she calls day-clean. From sticking her tongue out in the rain to hearing stories from her grandmother.

INDIGO DREAMING is a story about a little girl's imagination and wonder. The rhyming is a bit awkward at times, but overall it's a sweet book about a girl who dreams up a faraway friend. The illustrations have a chalkboard texture and watercolor vibe to them which makes them a bit different from other books. A child's mind is a wonder with its wild imagination and this is book a great adaptation of that.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children with vivid imaginations and ones who may have imaginary friends. This encourages children to dream and think about what the world around them has to offer.
