COOKIE MONSTER FINDS A SNACK is a simple and delightful book designed for babies. In this short story, Cookie Monster goes into his cookie jar for a treat only to find that he is out of cookies. He then goes to see if his friends have cookies, but they do not. Then, he smells cookies! There is a picnic on Sesame Street and everyone is invited.

What I loved: This is a quick and simple story perfect for the littlest of readers. Short attention spans will appreciate only have a couple sentences on each page spread with brightly colored and fun images to look at along the way. This one particularly creates some baby giggles with the "Oh, no!" for being out of cookies and the smelling of the cookies at the end (we add some sniffing sound effects). It's a story that is just the right speed for infants and young toddlers. Recognizable characters are great for this age group, and little ones will love to read and explore this story again and again.

Another great feature of these books is in the series. It's made for babies to pull on, chew, and otherwise explore on their own. These books can put up with a lot and function as both a toy and something to read. They are also super lightweight, so they are easy to pack and bring along. Easy to clean and safe for play, these are ones that parents can enjoy sharing with infants.

Final verdict: COOKIE MONSTER FINDS A SNACK is a delightful story that babies will love to explore - and munch! Highly recommend checking this one out for the littlest of readers.
