You know when you are attracted to a book and can't figure out why? Maybe it was the stunning cover, or the mysterious title, or even the gripping description but the fact of the matter is I was drawn to this book. In a way similar to how Nora is drawn to Patch. I bought it on the fly and don't , nay, can't regret it! Something I look for in books is how clean they are and this book was surprisingly clean I can't recall any cuss words and the most drastic love scene was a kiss. When I wasn't reading this book I couldn't help thinking about it, so like when my parents tore me away from it to eat dinner I was thinking what is Nora going to do next?  It was a book that was hard to put down so at 2:30 in the morning I was rationalizing with myself  whether to put down the book, only to  put it down and then pick it back up at 2:32 (of course I would keep reading!!). A truely captivating book that will have you guessing who exactly is in Nora's head till the very end.

Hush, Hush was an amazing book from start to finish. If the prologue didn't immediately capture your attention, then Patch's humor and wit did! Fitzpatrick created strong characters that you would find yourself dreaming of and wishing you could fly into the pages and join their world, no matter what was happening in the story. I am highly anticipating the sequel to this novel!

The Use Of Words To Describe Scenes, How The Chracters Looked To The Athor So We The Readers Can Have The Same Images.
The Cover Of The Book Is One You Can't Ignore And Once I Saw It I Had To Get It. The Book Is Easy To Read And Understand.

This book grabs you from the very start and pulls you into the world of angels!  Patch is nothing but mysterious and a little dangerous but there may be more to his facade than meets the eye.  Nora doesn't know if she should let this new guy into her world but she has to admit that strange things are happening all around her.  Things that could cost her life if she isn't careful.  Very careful!  Can Patch explain everything that is happening to her or better yet, will he?  You will not be able to put this book down.  I actually read it in just one sitting!  Fantastic and many kudos to Fitzpatrick for bringing this to life so vividly!

Hush, Hush was a super good book, it's one of those one's you never want to end. It will make you want to sit there forever and just read. It's a book that even the people who don't like reading a long book would enjoy. Don't judge it by it's cover, even though the cover may give those who aren't into fantsy the impression that it's boring, inside is one of the best stories you'll ever read!

Being a very critical person by nature I tend to pick books apart while
reading. Throughout this whole book I was trying to figure out the
ending (which is unlike me, I usually pick apart characters and
grammar). I was dying to know what happened next so incredibly
badly that I was trying to guess it. I devoured this book in something
like 9 hours. Fallen angels, Bad boy extraordinaire, forbidden love,
and very real characters all made this book get well over five stars.
But to add to it, the plot twists were amazing and the writing
flawless. Even with the fact that I read an ARC and therefore there
were grammatical flaws here and there... there were less errors than in
the standard published novel. Which scores major props in my book. I'm
going to be buying this when it hits shelves October 13th so I can read
it again later. Yes, it was that good that I already want to reread it.
Can't wait for the sequel.

" For
Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been
particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much
her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But
after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust.
Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than
her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his
arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she
finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything
Patch makes her feel.

For
Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal
and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the
wrong choice will cost her life," Summary Courtesy of Amazon

Wow,
this book was amazing. I enjoyed reading it so much. The characters
were great and the plot was ingenious. Becca Fitzpatrick kept me at the
edge of my seat until the last page, and even then I couldn't wait to
find out what was going to happen next.
Hush Hush definitely
left room for a sequel. When I first began reading I wasn't completely
sure what was going to happen, you never knew who to trust or what was
what- this was a mystery, romance, fantasy, and suspense novel all tied
into one. One of the best parts of the book was the fact that Patch and
Nora had great chemistry, they went together really well. Patch was the
perfect mysterious bad boy, who kept you wondering about his dark past.
There were also a lot of sub-plots that added to the novel. Everything
was tied up at the end, but I'm still anxious to read the sequel.

For
a debut novel, this book was fantastic, even for a seasoned writer this
was a great book! I loved the unique names of the characters as well-
Patch, Nora, Vee, Elliot, Kjirsten. One of the most amazing things
about this book was the fact that it was such a unique topic. Fallen
angels is something I've never read about, I'm now intrigued to learn
more about them. Also, the cover was great, too. I love it! There's so
many dimensions to it, and although the colors are dull they work. It's
a perfect cover, definitely one of my favorites of the books I've read
lately. All in all I'm so happy I got a copy of this one for review (
well two copies to be exact) and am planning on picking up a hardcover
copy when it's released in October.

(Please note:  I was fortunate enough to get an ARC copy of this book.  So although this review is up before the publicatio ndate, I did actually read it.)

If one wanted to leave a one word review, this book would sum up with....AWESOME!  A great read for anyone that enjoys the YA genre, author Becca Fitzpatrick creates a fantastic story brought together with seasoned flair.

The cover art alone draws your eye and the book teaser tells you that the story deals with a fallen angel, a sacred oath, and a forbidden love...no spoilers revealed there.  I don't know where to begin!  The characters are described in such a way that you can easily envision them as well as step into their shoes to experience the story first hand.

Told in the voice of Nora Grey, it likens to the popular series Twilight by Stephenie Meyer in both character voice and existing flaws....add in Patch her new Bio partner with the bad boy persona that's just so wrong it's right (check Julian from L.J. Smith's Forbidden Game series), and you have a melting pot of mystery, fire, and desire.

Let's just say it's a must read.  Watch for it's release in October 2009 (at least at the time of this review).  Happy reading!  =0)

Falling in love was never so easy . . .

or so deadly.

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

With a title like Hush, Hush, the book is just begging for you to pick it up. Once I picked it up, there was no putting it down. Hush, Hush was thrilling and enticing. Patch and Nora's world is so dark and dangerous. It's a world where readers will gladly visit again. The book itself takes a bit to pick up pace, but starting with page 1, readers are captivated by the mysterious Patch, trying to figure everything out and where it's going.

Patch was a character that made readers fall for him; he is dark, mysterious, and totally sexy. All the while, he's also cocky, rude, and awfully selfish, but it works for him and makes him that much more alluring. Whenever Patch is involved, you get chills partly from the fear you feel you should have for him and partly from the attraction. Nora was cast as the opposite, the straight A, good girl. She's a determined character, who falls under Patch's spell. The other characters don't stand out as much as the well-written Patch and Nora, but they have their fortes.
The one character that didn't seem to fit much was the snotty cheerleader, Marcie Miller. To me, she didn't seem to have much of a point in the overall plot.

The romance Becca Fitzpatricks writes is bewitching. The romance between the two is so much that everytime Patch and Nora enter the stage, you can practically see the sparks flying. It builds as the story goes on, and the ending leaves readers begging for more of Patch and Nora's story.

Hush, Hush is definately the cover of the year. The cover is simply gorgeous, and a book I would probably buy regardless of the content inside. Pair that cover with the amazing story Becca Fitzpatrick has written, and you have yourself a book no one can resist.

The wait for Crescendo, Hush, Hush's sequel will be a long one indeed!
