I loved the books and out of all the movies, the first one is probably one of my favorites! The acting was cute because they are still kids and it was surprisingly good. I thought that for 2001, the effects were pretty good. The actor who plays Hagrid is just how I imagined him. The adaption from book to movie was exceptional and I am extremely happy with the results. Usually there is a problem with book to movie adaptions and the book is not accurately depicted, however, even though some things were left out, the gist of it was in it and I was satisfied with the film. :)

When these movies first came out, I wasn't allowed to watch them. That quickly changed after my mom saw, and fell in love, with the Harry Potter series.

To a kid, this movie is memorizing. It is full of magic and perfectly astonishing. Needless to say, I still feel the same way about it.

I have read the book, and the movie just about goes along with it. Some of the great, small details of the book have been left out, but they found the perfect way to lead things along.

Every actor plays their part amazingly! I remember thinking that I wanted to be a witch because it was so realistic.

The Harry Potter series is such a great way to introduce your child to a new world.
