BUS BUDDIES is a cute board book that introduces different types of buses from trams to monster truck buses to little ones. Each page asks children to guess what the particular type of bus is used for, before they lift a flap with a simple sentence about what that bus does.
What I loved: This is a great pick for young vehicle lovers who will love checking out the different types of buses with some key parts labeled. The flaps are fun, and children who enjoy learning about new types of vehicles will enjoy learning all these different bus names. The monster truck bus was particularly of interest to our young reader, though the other buses are also fun to view and discuss, as they are buses that young readers may encounter in daily life, such as city buses, trams, and trolleys. The flaps add some extra interest with brightly colored illustrations and centered on buses.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, while the book invites young readers to guess about what each bus does, the explanations don't really answer the question, so it seemed a bit tricky. It may have been better to have them explain more how they work or ask a more specific question.
Final verdict: Overall, BUS BUDDIES is a cute lift-the-flap board book that will charm vehicle lovers. Recommend for toddlers who love everything with wheels.
