Inspirational Photo Biography

This brief picture book offers an overview of Zion Clark’s life and a number of inspirational quotations interspersed with photographs.
Good Points
Clark was born with a conditon that caused his legs not to develop, and was put into the foster care system early on. He had great musical ability, and played the trumpet, drums, and piano, and was in the marching band at his school in Massilon, Ohio. He also joined the wrestling team. Because of his differences, he need to invent new ways to pursue his interests, and he excelled at them.

His positive attitude and perseverance are documented in the pages of this book, with stunning photography of Clark involved in various pursuits. Demand for this book may be high because of a Netflix documentary about him. This is a great introduction to a stella role model for facing difficulties, but might leave older readers hungry for more details.
