Hi, YABCers!
Today we’re super excited to celebrate the new cover reveal for BAD BLOOD by Demitria Lunetta, releasing March 14, 2017 from Delacorte. Before we get to the cover, here’s a note from Demitria:
After I attended university in Scotland, I got the writers itch to set a book in that amazing, magical place. After my sci-fi novels, I returned to Edinburgh, and I knew I had to “scratch” my idea into a story. BAD BLOOD is that book! It’s my first stand-alone and my first paranormal, so it’s exciting to be able to share it with the world. Hope you enjoy!

BAD BLOOD
Scotland is in my blood…
All sixteen-year-old Heather MacNair wants is to feel normal, to shed the intense paranoia she’s worn all year like a scratchy sweater. Ever since her compulsion to self-harm came to light, Heather has been kept under her doctor’s watchful eye. Her family thinks she’s better – and there is nothing she wants more than for that to be true. She still can’t believe she’s allowed to spend her summer vacation as she always does: at her aunt’s home in Scotland, where she has lots of happy memories. Far away from all her problems save one: she can’t stop carving the Celtic knot that haunts her dreams into her skin.
Good friends and boys with Scottish accents can cure almost anything…except nightmares. Heather can’t stop dreaming about two sisters from centuries ago, twins Prudence and Primrose, who somehow seem tied to her own life. Their presence lurks just beneath the surface of her consciousness, sending ripples through what should be a peaceful summer. The twins might hold the key to putting Heather’s soul at rest…or they could slice her future deeper than any knife.

Absolutely LOVE the cover!!! The birds 😀
I love getting down with my Scottish roots in a magic-awesome plot! What a treat this would be! Many thanks, Kara S
Omg I saw this cover on Facebook and I’m just in love. The combo of the color, background, and girl/birds is just gorgeous, dark, and alluring. I so can’t wait to read this!!
I love the cover! It’s creepy and ominous but still pretty! This sounds like a great story!
Bad Blood sounds great! I think the Cover is fantastic ♡ Thank you
The cover is so beautiful! The colors, the background, the birds, and the girl all fit together very nicely. This book sounds amazing!
The cover and the plot are so interesting! I’m looking forward to reading it!
The book sounds SO good, and I adore the cover- the colors work together in a way that is pretty, but still foreboding! I love it!
the cover’s colors are gorgeous. The birds flying around the steeple remind of Alfred Hitchcock–this immediately puts a dark, foreboding twist on the book for me. And the alone figure just means trouble and danger.
Her description of the plot makes me want to listen to this as an audiobook to hear the Scottish accents–I’m such a sucker for a fella with an accent 🙂
Love the Scottish (half myself)! Sounds like a great story! Great cover!
It’s a nice cover. Not very unique or attention grabbing but bad.
I love the cover! It is beautiful and very eyecatching.
