Among The Hiden...I remember reading it in the 5th grade. It's THAT great of a book. I remember it. It was interesting, exciting, had a great storyline, and I didn't want to put it down. Imagine living in a world where, if you were a 3rd born child, you had to hide yourself from the world, just so you could live, being mistreated and hunted down because the government can't afford to pay people enough to feed big families. One of the greatest books by the author, I recommend this book (and its series) to anybody of any age.

Well what I thought about this book was amazing.I want to read it again but I can't because I don't have the book, and I read it at school with my teacher and classmates. This book was really exciting to read. The part when Jen died I felt like crying, but I got it together. I can't wait to read the next book!!! This book was seriously amazing and thats only my opinion. Other people might think the same or may think its beyond amazing. I couldn't believe that there was a popultion back in the days, and how dangerous it was to be a third or fourth child. When i first started to read it I had chills running down my spine and I reliazed how lucky I'm to have my little sister alive.I wouldn't want only one sister or brother. Every one is lucky to be or have a third child right now, BUT you never know when theres still population. Its so sad when an child dies when there just so young and inacent. Hopefuly in the future there still won't be a population and everyone is a free soul. =)

This book is rely tens and amacing. The story talks about luke wich is the third chiled that is hiden because if they find him the population police will kill him or have his parents pay a fine. I think that it is tens because luke has no friends ,nonormal life , and has to risk hi life to see a gril that is a third chiled too.Her name is Jen and her fader works for the population police wich works only to find third kids. Butover all it is one of the most wonderful books that I have read.

This book is about Luke, a hidden child, who must make a tough decision by the end of the novel.  The end will leave you hanging and you WILL want to read the next in the series!  I just taught this book in my class and I believe most of my students really enjoyed this novel.  The themes in the novel include isolation, freedom, courage, and of course bring up the debate of population control.  I think it is an engaging read, especially for readers who may not like to read.  Just try it and I think you will be hooked!

This is a great book that you will never want to stop reading. I like this book because it has many good  parts that will want to make you keep reading. One of my favorite part was when the main charecter and third child Luke saw the face in the other  house and he didn't know what to do,if he should go or just stay home all alone for the rest of his life. My other favorite part was when Luke found out that Jen's dad worked for the population police. He kept thinking that if he had a third child why would he work for them.In this book you can't have more then three children and if you did your third child would be kille. So I hope you are intrested and hopefully you will read this great book.

I say that Among The Hidden is a really amazing book. So many interesting things happen in the book that you just can't believe can happen in real life. You will not be able to put the book down for a second. Reading the book will make you feel an experience that you have never felt at all. The first time I read the first few chapters I could'nt stop reading I wanted to have one of my own. I advise you to read the book and the rest of the series.

When Luke was younger he thought when he was as old as Matthew and Mark he could stop hiding but luke is older and knows that that will never happen because Luke is a third child and third children are illegell. Luke is very lonley until he sees a very strange face that he knows dosent belong.I love this book for all its sad and never forgetable characters.
