This was the second to last book in the Series of Unfortunate Events and I exspected more from this book but, I need not recieve it. I did like the fact that we got to see the story though the eyes of all the children and we also got to see almost everyone from the whole series but, in my opinion the book is not as good as other stories in the series. I somewhat recommend this book because if you have made it though the other 11 books than you should at least finish the series.

This book was a wonderful follow up to the rest of the series. It seems that Lemony Snicket can captivate the minds of those who read his book. I think this is not only because of the way he keeps his identity a secret but that of writing to keep a young person interested.
I really enjoyed this book because it was easy to read. The events did not move to quickly or slowly. This would give many young adults the quick little boost of reading for them everyday. It is a very easy book to follow. Thanks Lemony Snicket!!!

Well, the second to last book has arrived and despite the fact that things are getting pretty repetitive, I quite enjoyed the Penultimate Peril. The orphans, along with Kit Snicket, arrive at the hotel to rescue the elusive sugarbowl. As usual, Olaf and his gang are also there, trying to stop the heros. At this point, the Baudelaire orphans are wondering if they really are heros; they do good deeds but also end up hurting people. *spoiler* In this story, they accidentally kill Dewey, one of the hotel managers and a member of VFD. Almost everyone is at the hotel, Olaf's bad accomplices and the good members of VFD, this guarantees that the book will be very confusing and exciting.
