I liked the story, but the characters were a bit underdeveloped and the story was extremely slow, except for at the end where it felt like the author rushed the story.

When I discovered the blogging world I heard amazing things about the Gemma Doyle series. I thought "Eh, it's not something I would pick myself (and had, in fact, put it back on the library shelf multiple times due to disinterest), but I've bee proven wrong before, so I'll put it on my I-should-probably-read-this-someday list. I'm thinking I might need to take it off after reading all the YABC reviews. It sounds like a lot of people were disappointed and I don't do well with a slow-moving, under-developed story.
