A bridge to wisemans cove. Some people I have talked to about talk it up like it's the bible and everyone should read it. But I disagree. I didn't think it was a good book at all. I thought it was horrid. It had a boring plot which I thought to be rather predictable and the Author, James Moloney, paints too much of a picture. His words are way too descriptive for my liking. He has to leave at least something to the imagination be he doesn't. He describes everything. Nothing left to the imagination. I actually hated this book and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who actually has an imagination.

This book is so very very bad that i burnt it after reading it. (it made a good fire starter)

It didn't deal with any contemporary issues of today and was a complete waste of time. The problem was that it was too mundane and re-occuring themes kept coming up. I was also disappointed with the end of the book as it was so melancholic yet inevitable.

Not a good book. Recommend it for light readers.

'A Bridge to Wiseman's Cove' is an extremely interesting book. It features what most books really don't have, hatrid and love. Even though a 10 year old person has read this book, I found it utterly interesting! Carl is just one typicla boy, and Harley is just a little troublemaker, Justine is cute and casual, and Maddie is free and unfortunate in love life.

This book was great i loved that it involed more into the Matts background and showed that Carl is no where near the same as any of them.

Carl and Harly going away to live with Aunt Beryl was a good idea at the start but when we got to see what Beryl was like, i started to get scared for them, she chained harly, leaving him alone i mean he could have died but did she care NO!! and i couldn't belive that the cop guy actually gave it to them, it was unbeliveable.

When Carl got his job at the barge i thought that that would be great that he was going to get his own money from now on but then Beryl got in the picture, i really wanted to knock her out i mean she was so mean and cural to them and she thought that she deserved it god i hate her.

When Carl figured out that his mum was dead i cried like litarally cried because it was sad and i couldn't hold it in and i lost my great aunt that day as well so it was hard listening to him losing someone when i also lost some one that week. Carl felt as if his mum didn't love him enough to say it, i think that's why it was really important for him to know if she was coming back home or not. When he found out that she was i felt happy for him and Harly.

This was a great book to read and i loved it.

5 STARS IS MY RATING.

i had to read this book for school and i felt it wasn't all that bad.

i had to write and essay and answer questions and there is alot of reading 'between the lines' things going on.

although, i felt the osprey wasn't reallt that important and i keep getting questions about it.

and it never really explain what the heck 'curse of the matts' was! it was like seperated throughout the whole book and we only had little sctions about it.

damn that was annoying to find quotes for my essay!!!!

but overall, i felt the book was very cleaverly put together and the story line was pretty good.
p.s:on the new years eve night, who would strip their friend naked on the bed, knowing their was a gut in the house!!!?!?!?!

I Read this book in class as a Text Study, I found it very intruiging and easily understandable from a Year Nine's (Ninth Grader's) point of veiw. I must say though, it was slightly dull and unsatisfying in parts, but, all in all, it was a great book and I highly reccomend it for further generations and younger years to read.

A Bridge to Wiseman's Cove is a touching story of a teenage boy, Carl Matt. Carl is a victim of his childhood, where fear of rejection and abandonment, have shaped him into a self-conscious
and unhappy youngster. Throughout the novel, Carl's experiences of growing up in his Aunt's home town of Wattle Beach, and the people who influence him, give Carl the courage to finally find the happiness and self-confidence he deserves.

We all face difficult things in our life and as carl took it, it wasnt a good thing to haold it in and carry all his troubles but any way i loved the book and i recommend it to every one that wants to read a good and interesting book or just wants to find a book to study.
