A Bridge To Wiseman's Cove is a great book, especially for children aged 12-14. I dont really have an interest in reading but then when i had to read this very detailed, interesting book for a school assignment, i found it very interesting and couldn't get my nose out of it! I recommend anyone who is looking for a exciting book to read!

This was a great book. Easy to read and also had a great story line behind it. I think the person who worte this is a genius. Shows a teenage point of view of life.

Book was emotional in a good way . IT made me fell good about myself.

couldnt put the book down

well 1st of all like many of the other reveiws on this site i had to read this book.. but i liked it alot unlike many people in my english class. im in yea 10 this year, im 15 and my family life isnt what you would call the best so for me could really relate to this book because althouogh it is made up it is really realaistic for people around Carl's age because we all go through rough patches.. just Carl's was alot worse. so i agree with what alot of other people are saying.. it is a really good book and you need to read it with an open mind other wise it wont sound as good. i have become really into alot of Jmes Molloney's books (i had to read "Lockie Lenard" last year) and well done to you because you made me fell as though there was someone else who knows what their talkig about.. elle

Why don't you get somone who can actually write to review the
book. Also, it sounds as if Katie hasn't even read the book. Carl and Justine don't start dating, Carl is not slightly chubby, he is obese as stated near the front of the book and she has left out some of the most important things in the book i.e. the curse of the matts, how he came to live in Wattle Beach and Carl's ideas for the barge i.e. the car wash.
You have NOT reviewed this book well and you sound like a stupid cheerleader that has been forced to read this book. All you write about are the nice things that happen in the book
I think it's great that you are so sensitive that you cried at the end of the book. If only there were more people like you in this world...

I'm reading a bridge to wisemans cove for english. My friend anton loves this book as much as i do. I really enjoyed reading about carls journey in Wattle cove.

I think carl was a really shy character. My friend anton(who is a girl) thought harley was the best character overall, because he was a rebel.I dont like their aunt though, shes a bit of a cow. She was really mean to the Matt brothers. i guess though it really was not her fault.

Carl went through a lot and at times i felt sorry for him and his brother. He had a lot of responsibilities.

I recommend this book because it is a lot like real life and what teens go through. i rate it 5 out of 5.

Wow it started with a bang. This book I loved. It was so interesting and every page kept me enthralled hence I never wanted to put it down. But the interesting thing is I hate reading until I read his book.

I got this book as another boring English assignment but luckily I was wrong. The book had uprising issues that teenagers faced everyday. James Moloney hit the nail on the head with this book. I rate it 4 out of 5! It is a MUST read.

when first reading this book i was stunned. i found it had mixed emotions. however once studying the book i found it mind blowing at how detailed the plot is. a lot of writing techniques are shown within the book. eg pg75/76 i found up to 20 different techniques used. from similes to metaphors to imagerary and heavy decriptive paragraphs. slang right the way throught to formal language. over all it was a fantastic read.

a bridge to wiseman's cove is a book that deals with the troubles and tribulations that a young teenage boy (Carl) faces when he moves to a new town.

it starts off as a very boring read and seems to drag on a bit as the story progresses, but if you look closely, maloney has cleaverly worked in alot of hidden symbolysm into the novel.

i enjoyed this book but i did not completely undersatand its meaning or purpose untill the second time that i read it.
