A bridge to Wisemans cove is an alright book, but drags on for a long time. There are too many chapters in the book, which are really short. I probably wouldnt have read it, if we hadnt read it at school for English. The book gives an understanding on how some teenagers deal with family problems and how they cope. The book starts of with Carls mother leaving him, causing Carl and Harley to be sent off to Wattle beach to live with Beryl. Throughout the novel, Carl develops and understanding and realises that he can longer hide himself from the world. The book ends, with Carl and Harley finding a family who care about them. I would recommend the book for teenagers from 13-15 as they can relate to themes and topics in this book.

The book "a Bridge to wisemans cove" was not the most enjoyable of books to read. The introduction was very boring and the author "James Molony" used to much descriptive language. I had to read the book because of an english oral presentation, but it is very difficult to say good things about a book you dont really like. Unfortunatly most of my classmates are struggling with this oral, because they simply dont like the book.

Why don't you get somone who can actually write to review the
book. Also, it sounds as if Katie hasn't even read the book. Carl and Justine don't start dating, Carl is not slightly chubby, he is obese as stated near the front of the book and she has left out some of the most important things in the book i.e. the curse of the matts, how he came to live in Wattle Beach and Carl's ideas for the barge i.e. the car wash.
You have NOT reviewed this book well and you sound like a stupid cheerleader that has been forced to read this book. All you write about are the nice things that happen in the book
I think it's great that you are so sensitive that you cried at the end of the book. If only there were more people like you in this world...

This book was really confusing, I dont really understand what a 'barge' is and there were too many complex story lines. It was alright in the way that the popular girl talks to the fat boy because it shows that looks arent everything which is something that people think in High School.

The book was alright, but if I didnt have to complete a test on it I probably would not have finished it. It was kind of boring in some parts and it was hard to see what the point of reading it was. There were too many storylines that gave out all sorts of hidden messages that the reader didnt need to hear.

This book should be read and understood carefully. I think only advanced readers shoud read this or above the age of 12 years of age. The relationships involved in thia book is very deep and should be explored deeply. Ths book is interesting

A bridge to Wiseman's cove is a very sad book, because the main character Carl tries so hard to look after his brother. His mother has gone away, and she meant the whole world to him, and he would do anything to get her back.

This is a story about real true life, about a boy who has feelings. And wants to find life, for himself. And to be happy most of all!
