This was my favorite book of the month. So touching and so funny. I finished it and gave it too my daughter to read immediately.

Let's start with Lexi. Spoiled, self-centered and rich. I wanted to smack her at times and I thought what her father does is quite justified. We have all worked jobs that were not glamorous but we learn from them and move on. Lexi just works them to get the inheritance taking nothing away from them and complaining all the way. I must admit I took slight joy in reading about how she thought they were horrible and way to hard. Then the turning point and I found myself rooting for her. I also wondered what everyone was hiding from her. The family secret that shed light on every thing.

Luke self made and very motivated the complete opposite of Lexi. I loved how this character championed for Lexi's father because we do that for people we admire, I also understood Lexi unhappiness because her father was never there. Praising a mans public image to the end Luke want to be like the self made millionaire and can't grasp why Lexi is not on her knees thanking her farther for everything that is handed to her.

I enjoyed how these characters played off each other and the romance that followed. The anger and resentment turns to understanding and appreciation. A real heart warming story that I will keep on my self and re-read for years to come.
