Hi, YABCers!

Today we’re super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for THE CURE by Tania Hagan, releasing February 16, 2016 from CHBB. Before we get to the cover, here’s a note from Tania:

Hello YABC readers! Thank you so much for allowing me to share this special event with all of you.

You are the very first audience to view the amazing cover of THE CURE!

When I saw this cover for the first time, it brought me to tears. I was eating an omelet at a lovely breakfast café, and I started crying like a baby. But, I have to admit, I cry at dog food commercials. Seriously. I do.

So, what does seeing a cover really do for a reader? I think it’s kind of like seeing a face for the first time. It’s like a puppy’s face. It’s like a puppy’s chubby little face in a dog food commercial. Hang on. I need a tissue…

There. Much better. Of course, I owe this spectacular moment to my awesome publisher, CHBB. And, A. Fray, my brilliant cover artist from Zillah Design, created an image that is nothing short of magical. I’m sure you’ll agree.

On February 16, THE CURE will make its appearance worldwide. I have no doubt you’ll all fall madly in love with Genny and Nat. And, they can use all the love they can get. You’ll understand when you see what they have to go through in order to do what they know is right.

Until then, please enjoy staring at my beautiful cover. Make sure to stick around and win some cool prizes! Thank you again!

About the Book

Beautiful and brilliant, eighteen-year-old Genesis Weatherby lives a charmed life as the clone of a long-dead silent film star. She is loved by her close-knit family as well as her two best friends, and being a clone isn’t so bad when everyone in the world is one too.

Thanks to an organization known as GOD, there have been no Original births in one hundred and thirty years. In a successful attempt to eradicate cancer, GOD has taken control of human procreation, and only the human copies that are proven to be free of the once devastating disease are allowed to thrive.

Genny never questions anything about her world, until she meets handsome and mysterious Nat Wilkinson. Now, she is forced to make choices that can alter the course of her life, as well as the lives of everyone on the planet.

I was born in Illinois, but moved to Southern California as a young teen. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Social Science and Psychology.

I began my writing career shortly after school, when I wrote for a major business magazine. I also read the nightly business report for the company’s TV news. At the same time, I produced, and reported for a weekly TV news magazine program.

After I was married, my husband and I moved back to the Chicago area, where I worked briefly as a stringer for a local newspaper. I also became a successful Realtor, and I continued to write for online, as well as for print publications.

We have one beautiful daughter. My dream of dreams is to eventually adopt many more children. Out of everything I’ve accomplished, I am most proud of being a mom.

The Cure is my debut novel. I’ve signed with CHBB, and I plan to complete a sequel within the next year. I also have two additional Young Adult Dystopian books on the back burner. So, stay tuned, and look for my name.

I think the cover is amazing and perfect for the book. Fortunately, I have read the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I left the review on Goodreads already. It’s a very unique story and refreshingly interesting without being overwhelmed with violence.

  2. Bri Holt says:

The cover is gorgeous and not overly done up. The synopsis definitely has me wanting to read this. Definitely a unique sounding storyline.

  3. Brenda Lionti says:

The cover is really beautiful. What I like the most about it are the colours, they give me peace. And also the dna that is noticeable only if you pay attention!
The synopsis is very original. Cancer is an illness that a lot of people have to struggle with… People even die because of it. So, reading about a world where this is something that does not happen, is really interesting.
    Thank you for the opportunity.

  4. Jackie Gonzalez says:

The cover is extremely gorgeous and The synopsis is amazing! I cannot wait to dive into this book!

  5. VampAmber says:

The synopsis made this book sound like something that I’d really love to read. I love dystopian YA fiction lately (I’d blame the Hunger Games if I hadn’t already been a fan of Battle Royale for a few years before the first HG book even came out), so this is right up my current-book-addiction alley. The cover is awesome, too. It gives the reader a hint or two at what the story’s about, even before they read the synopsis. I love it when books do that without being horribly obvious (and this one was the perfect amount of hint).

What do you think about the cover and synopsis?

I’m glad you asked! I think the cover is amazing. I love how the hand and DNA-shaped clouds are partially transparent! I love how the THE in THE CURE is situated inside the C in CURE, which I think is quite creative. Also, I love how the setting is in a yard jam-packed with flowers at sunset! The posture the hand is in makes me curious, as well. “What do you do when the monster is you?” I suppose I’d give up….I’m just kidding! Of course not! But…the subtitle here causes the curiosity in me to grow!

Of the Synopsis, I am intrigued by what GOD stands for, and the reason why they are all clones, and there are no originals. I am really wondering what the story of Nat and Genny is all about! I wonder what Nat knows that Genny doesn’t…

Anyway, I really look forward to reading that AMAZING story!

  7. Amy Hart says:

The cover is nice, but the synopsis is what lured me in.

  9. Laura L says:

It sounds really interesting, a clone of a Hollywood silent screen actress? Does she have any memories of that person? Does she remember any of the other “clones”, Etc..so many questions…Fascinating!

  10. Maggie says:
