Excellent book! It's hard sometimes finding books to read that are differnt. I mean ones that don't have some of the same old story lines. I think a lot of teenagers can get into reading this story. It could appeal to their curiosity of what it could possibly be like to go to a teen rehabitiation camp as well as the desire to find a lost treasure. I love how there are several interwoven stories in one the story of stealing the sneekers linked to the great grandfather's curse to the lost money from the women bank robber. It keeps you interested thorugh out the book I could'nt put this book down until I finished reading it.

Holes is a great book I read in middle school. It's about this boy named Stanley Yelnats whos accuesed of stealing these expensive shoes when he really find them. It's either he goes to juvenile hall or goes to camp Green Lake. It's a camp for bad boys, where he has to dig holes. The reason why they dig holes is because the warden is looking for something, what that is I can't tell you because that would ruin the whole story. If you haven't read Holes you should go and check it out. It's a pretty good story, for adults and children. Theres nothing I didn't like about this story, it's pretty much perfect. That's why I gave it a 5.

Holes was a good book. I liked the idea of a bunch of people digging holes and the yellow spotted lizards I saw the movie but the book is better, much better.

Holes and Foal in the Fog are the two best books I have ever read. Holes is an awsome book. I could not get my eyes off it. I keeps me wondering. I was reading it in study hall and b4 I knew it, study hall was over;the proble, I could not take my eyes off it. Let's just say that the teacher did not really appreciate me reading during her history lesson...But this book is so good. It is actually EVEN BETTER than the movie. It is a must for people of all ages. My teacher did not blame me though 4 reading it. She loves it to and ACTUALLY let me read it during her lesson! She told me I could read it to the next chapter then she would strat the lesson!:) how cool

This awesome book by Louis Sachar is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats (read that backwards!) who gets sent to a juvenille deliquincy camp for something he really didn't do. As he makes friendships with the other boys, who each have a history of their own, he digs holes looking for some unknown. Eventually, Stanley runs away and finds the real treasure. This novel is filled with a potpurri of awesome characters like Mr. Sir and is a must read for any teen.

There is one word I can use to describe this book: WOW! It is one of my favorite books in the world.

It's about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who gets off easy for stealing some shoes, even though he's not the one who stole them. He gets sent to a camp where they make you dig holes out in a dry lake. The warden says it's to punish the boys and build character, but she makes them do it for a whole other reason all together. I don't want to give the reason because it will give away the whole story.

At the end of the book, Stanley runs away with a friend (named Zero) to a mountain called God's Thumb. As you already know, dry lakes don't have water, so they find water on the mountain, and that's the only way they survive. As I said before, I highly recomend this book no matter who you are.
