Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is about Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts. Over the summer, he goes and stays with the Weasleys and attend the Quidditch World Cup with him. Which was fun until some Death Eaters (Supporters of the Dark Lord) decide to have some fun with some muggles. Harry returns to Hogwarts where they are hosting the Tri-Wizard Tournament, which is where three schools including Hogwarts, choose one student and they compete in challenges. Since it is extremely risky, you have to be of age to enter.

But some how Harry's name is entered into the Goblet of Fire, which chooses the names, and is chosen along with another champion from Hogwarts.

Harry not only has to endure the competition which is far more advance than his skills, but he also has to put up with Ron being upset with him, trying to ask his crush out to the ball, who is already going out with the other champion.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts. The Tri-Wizard Tournament, which hasn't taken place in many years, is to take place at Hogwarts. Only students of age are allowed to submit their names in the Goblet of Fire along with other students from other schools. Even though Harry hadn't attempted to place his name in the Goblet, he is chosen along with Cedric Diggory for the Hogwarts champion. Harry not only has to deal with the tournament, but with fighting with his best friend, Ron and attempting to ask his crush to the ball. But all those things seem so trivial when Harry sees what's at the end of the last task of the tournament.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book to the maximum. At first I read it just so I could race my friend in reading it. Then I read it a second time and really appreciated how great it really was. In the book, Harry Potter is mysteriously entered in a Triwizard Tournament. The Triwizard Tournament is a competition between 3 Wizarding Schools where one champion from each school is entered to compete in the Tournament. The tourament consists of 3 tasks and whoever has the highest score from the tasks wins. This book truly shows Harry becoming a teenager. He is getting a bit lovesick, he is having to face reality in its worst, and he is learning so much more about himself and others' pasts. I'm not usually into adventure books like Lord of the Rings, but the Goblet of Fire has so much more to offer than just adventure. It has other categories like romance, comedy, thrill, horror, fantasy, and of course mystery. It has something for everyone's liking.

This book is so much more different from the other books in the series. This is the only book I was truly excited about to reread. When I was thinking about rereading the Order of the Phoenix, i thought about some of the parts that I didn't like so much such as Sirius' death. I also didn't want to reread the Prisnor of Azkaban because of the dementors and the whole concept of Pettigrew vs. Lupin and Sirius. But I was very thrilled about the Goblet of Fire and there wasn't a part that I wasn't looking forward to reading about. I never wanted to put the book down.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is my all time favorite Harry Potter book. Its so enthralling!

In book 4 the exciting event of the year is the Tri-Wizard Tournament which is a huge event where a young wizard is chosen from the three wizarding schools. The particapent from Hogwarts is chosen from the Goblet of Fire and Cedric Diggory is chosen but the goblet also spits Harry's name up. This is a terrible miscarriage of justice in the eyes of the students. Everyone thinks Harry placed his name in the goblet on purpose. Since what the goblet says is final Harry is in the tournament and manages to get through the challenges with the help of his friends. In the end it comes down to Harry and Cedric. Unfortuantly dark forces intervine and take both Harry and Cedric away for a night of torture and tragedy.

This was the saddest book in the series, Book 6 now holds that title, but no matter what its a great book and my undisputed favorite.

this is one of the best books i have ever laid my eyes on. the whole harry potter series is. j.k. rowling you ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in this book, harry is entered into some wizard computitions which is weird cuz you have to be a senior to enter. in the end harry finds out that "he who must NOT be name" have returned is is practically more powerful than before.

i love this series because of all the suspence and that fact that it just makes you want to read more plus when you read it it's like your part of the book like your in the book and when you stop you just have to get back in. its like you've been put under a spell and have to continue but in a good kinda way.

i would recomend this series to anyone 10+ because at that age you can actually tell whats going on around you and understand it giving you the advantage of understanding the book better.

This is definatly the best book in the series (I think) and is thrilling and full of dips and turns and all that good stuff that you expect from Rowling!
Of coarse, it is being made into a movie and I now watch the Teaser Trailer about two times a day!
If you ever read any book ever again, make sure it is Harry Potter and the GoF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously! (But PLEASE read 1,2,3 first!!!)

I really loved this book. While it's not my favourite, I still loved it. I especially loved the idea of a Ball. I think that it kind of made the guys braver in a way...even though it wouldn't be the end of the world to ask someone out! But, you gotta have guts to invite someone to a ball, right?

This book was awsome, and I'm reading it for the fourth time and I still want to read it. I guess it's a good thing that I own all the books, huh? I can't wait to get to read the sixth book and if you guy's and girls like to read action or exitment or just plain out fantasy, I would suggest The Anubis Gates, By Tim Powers I just added it the list. Have fun!!!!!1111111

Im almost embarrased by my interest in the Harry Potter books.. its a highly uncharacteristic interest for me but to say the least they hold my attention.. i gobbled this book up in a feverish two days during which my face turns a lovely shade of red when I say I did little else.. If youve read the first four.. read this one too.. and if you havnt.. well youve got some reading to do!
