Queen Geeks in Love is the equally hilarious sequel to Laura Prebles The Queen Geek Social Club.

Shelby Chapelle and her geeky girl posse are back, with more misadventures at a and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. The girls become comic book superheroes, begin sophomore year in high school, and plan the most entertaining GeekFest the school has ever seen. Only this time, each member of the Queen Geeks finds herself bitten by the love bug. How will the girls new infatuation with boys change the dynamics of the club?

Just recently, Shelby has begun dating Fletcher, a handsome fellow who totally admires and respects her. He treats her right, makes her laugh, and genuinely cares about Shelby. Sounds like the perfect boyfriend, right? But for some reason, Shelby shies away from commitment like a frightened horse. She doesnt want Fletcher to take over her life, and shes scared of falling in love with him. But tricky cupid has shot quite a few arrows at Shelby and almost as if against her own will, she finds herself falling head-over-heels for Fletcher.

Her first steady boyfriend, Fletcher takes up a lot of Shelbys time. And even when she isnt hanging out with him, hes all Shelby can think about! Choosing between her girlfriends and her boyfriend is a sticky situation that many high school girls can identify with. Soon, Shelby finds herself avoiding Fletcher and more or less breaking up with him. But is that what she really wants? In true Queen Geek fashion, the girls decide to help Shelby win Fletcher back, with karaoke songs and Indian dancing.

Its not only Shelby who finds herself in boy trouble. Amber and Becca find themselves crushing on the same-guy, John. This creates a little love triangle, or love rhombus if you want to include Shelby and Fletcher. Elisa is not left out of the love loop either. Sophomore year is sure to bring a lot of guy drama for the Queen Geeks!

Preble continues the Queen Geek series in a playful fashion, with the same quirky writing style that has endeared her to so many teen readers. If you enjoyed The Queen Geeks Social Club, Queen Geeks in Love will not disappoint!
