I personnaly don't think that it is a good book. I sometimes don't understnad it. I do understnd, however, that this was a long time ago because blacks and whites were seperate. Magee is a boy who's parents die in a trolly crash, and he runs away from his aunt and uncle-his only living kin. He sort of joins the whites and the blacks together. He can run really fast, and is good at baseball. Magee meets this girl and gets this book from her because he likes to read. It's kinda sad when he's in that shed waiting pateintly for death.

I read a book,"Maniac Magee", and I thought it was alright.I would not pay $5.00 or more for it,however. The book was funny, smart, and the vocabulary is excellent. On a scale of one to five,I'd say its about a three.

Maniac Magee didn't see in color. He didn't undrestrand what it meant. He thought white was the most boringest color of all. He had thought this after moving in with the Beales at 728 Sycamore. He didn't think that the color the skin mattered to people, until the kids in the East End started to treat him differently while they played around the neighborhood. This part was my favorite part in this book.
