to tell you the truth, I just thought this book would be another boring Cinderella with a few words changed. But this story was wonderful, it was fun to read and then, later ponder.

Ella, once a maid, now a princess lives in the castle and is learning how to be a princess not only in name but in characteristics, when she begins to wonder. Does she really love the prince? Is all this trouble worth a guy who loves himself more than his own mother? Read and observe her decisions!

This is quite an interesting book with a Cinderella like plot. If you like Cinderella-type stories, then this is the book for you! With several twists and turns, this story shows you that the life of a princess might not be full of fun, jewels, and handsome and clever princes as you think it might be!

After Ella wins the heart Prince Charming, she moves into the palace to live. However, life and Prince Charming is not as wonderful as she thought it would be. Prince Charming turns out to be dull and not very smart. Life in the palace isn’t much better either. Ella must learn the way of life for a princess—with countless lessons and tutors. Lucky for Ella, she gets a new tutor that is much more interesting and friendly than the rest of her tutors. But she still finds life very boring in the castle and that Prince Charming’s personality isn’t as charming as she thought it would be. Will life improve for Ella? Or will she have to take matters into her own hands?

This story takes place after the fairy tale wedding. And Ella finds there really isn't much to castle life, or to Prince Charming. This book has a surprise ending and many twists and turns. Margaret Peterson Haddix delivers the tired story of after-the-wedding with originality.

I've read this book at least twice. It is a pretty good book. It'll take you at least 2 days to read if you really get into it. Ella has won the heart of Prince Charming, who is nothing what she thought he would be like, and has to get adjusted to palace life which she finds dull. She is made to have tutors for different topics she must learn. She meets one, who interests her. The story takes a twist and it is a book for girls who take up for themselves and does what she thinks is right...a must in high school. It is definately memorable.
