Rowlings does it again with book 2! Get to know more about our Hero and his gang of strange and unusual friends. Once again, Harry is getting in and out of trouble with Snape and the school at large.

This book gives us much more back ground and "you know what about you know who".
An excellent read!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the series of seven. This is Harry Potter's second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After having yet another miserable summer at his aunt and uncles, his best friend, Ron, rescues him and Harry stays with him for the rest of the summer. School was going pretty smoothly for Harry until he started hearing voices that no one else could hear and attacks were being made on the innocent students. Harry wanted to go tell the Headmaster but was worried that Hogwarts would be closed and he would have to return to his aunt and uncles.

Soon, Harry's other friend, Hermione, was attacked and petrified after she had an idea of what was going on before she could tell anyone else. While Ron and Harry were visiting her in the infirmary, they found a peice of paper in Hermione's hand that lead them to the answer of what was attacking the students and where to find it. Worrying about wasting time, Ron and Harry decide to try to fight the monster themselves and to save Ron's little sister who was taken away by the creature.

The second part of harry potter book is my least favourite book of the serie. But the movie is the best.Whole book is fool of secrets. Whre's the Chamber of secret ,who's Slytherin's descedant ,who is murdering sudents? Nobody know answers to the end and we must to finish the book and find out the answers.

I LOVED this book!!!!! The Harry Potter books are the only long books that I can read over and over.
I would say this is the 3rd best book out of the series.

There have been messages written in blood on hogwart's walls. students have been found petrified. And harry at the wrong place at the wrong time. Who's behind all this? In the history of Hogwarts, Slytherin was said to have a secret chamber full of mystries. and only the heir to slytherin can open it. You think it's Draco Malfoy? Well, I'm not telling you, just that it's someone you'd never expect. Harry gets into the chamber and has a battle with a huge snake and finds out a little about He Who Must Not Be Named, Voldemort. Read for yourself, you'll like it.

This book had many very wonderful scenes. My favorite one was when Harry Potter made the potion to transform him into a slitherin. He needed to find if slitherin was behind all the deaths. I also liked the fight with the gigantic snake. Harry killed it by sticking the sword right through the roof of its mouth.

My second favorite Harry Potter Book. Harry being able to speak parsletongue is neat. Lockheart is an idiot. I figured it was Ginny the whole time. I don't like her very much anyway. Better than the first book in my opinion.

The book opens with Harry being back at his aunt and uncle's house for the summer vacation. They have locked away all of his stuff from Hogwarts and treat him once again like he isn't there. Harry is not allowed to use magic because he is an under aged wizard. His uncle decides to lock him up in his room and feed him as little as possible. When all hope seems lost, Harry is rescued in the most unusual way.

The book proceedes on how Harry carries out the rest of the summer and how he returns to Hogwarts for his second term. Joined up once again with his two best friends, Ron and Hermione their second year is full of mystery and adventure. Harry is forced to go up against another big challenge that is almost possible to win. I really enjoyed this book.

Sequels sometimes aren't as good as the first one but this book was full of lots of adventure and surprises. Harry was up against a lot of tough odds in this book and I loved to see how he dealt with his "troubles" I always enjoy reading about the Quidditch matches. They sound so interesting. The Chamber of Secrets is a very complicated thing and the powers it holds are even more mysterious.

I'd recommend this book to young adults but not to anyone under the age of 11. I think younger children would enjoy this book if it was read to them but not to read on their own. It is a long book and they may lose interest in it if they read it alone.
